Oh, I know that technically the long weekend is next week (at least for Ontarians who will have the benefit of the "Civic Holiday"), but I took a vacation day today! Yay, no day job!
So what am I going to do?
Well, hubby made an appointment to take the car in to get the tires rotated. (I almost expired from exceitement.) Then we're going to go shopping. Actually, this should be fun. We'll be doing Ikea and all the outlet stores, and the amazing MEC! (If you don't know MEC and you're a die-hard outdoorsman(woman), check it out here)
I'm really hoping to have a serious shopping experience. Folks, we're talking a full day of pounding the pavement looking for deals. I'll need shoes, clothes, gadgets, and probably a break for ice cream!
What are your plans this weekend?

I haven't had a shopping day in ages, which is a good thing. Half an hour in Wal-Mart and I'm broke and exhaisted. Have fun! MEC sounds like Maine's LL Bean. Off to check...
MEC!!!
I went through my closet the other day and realized that of my 'keeper' clothes, 95% of them are from MEC.
And I live 7 hours away from the nearest outlet. I don't shop often, but the clothes are soooooo good they last and last.
Today I'm writing a blog post for someone ;) , chatting at two different chat rooms: Joyfully Reviewed with the International Heat girls and Samhain with Alisha Rae.
And -trying- to finish a bit more on the wip.
Oh, the exotic life of summer.
Maggie, shopping was not quite what I expected. With hubby and kiddo I had to bypass a lot of the clothes shopping I wanted to do--or else listen to them whining. *sigh* Maybe next time I'll go by myself.
Viv I love MEC!
We have one in Toronto (which is downtown, so at LEAST 2 hours, probably more) but we also just got a brand new one in Burlington that's a lot closer. We came out of there with a new camping stove and sleeping bag, a beautiful fleece hoodie for kiddo and a few other things for our camping trip next weekend.
Going to visit my Dad, going to yet another BBQ picnic thing.
Maybe get writing and MT course stuff done.
Amy, I had really been hoping to get out there to see you on Sunday but we'll make sure to do it soon!
